It’s often the case that clients may be heard to say, “sorry, I’ve just given <insert project here> to <insert other supplier here> because I didn’t think you did <insert service here>”!
If some work has just been lost to another supplier, especially work that fell well within one’s capacity, it can be galling to say the least. There are two reasons for this: firstly, the client can genuinely forget that a service falls within the gamut offered; or secondly, the range of services offered has never really been made clear!
