Cider?

I found a recipe for something called ‘Turbo Cider’ on the net a few days ago. Now, I purport to be a bit of a fan of your traditional real ciders – y’know, the still and slightly cloudy variety, not the fizzed up junk from the supermarket, or -yoiks- served on the rocks as is the current vogue. In spite of this I’m giving Turbo Cider a go.
There’s not a real or fresh apple in sight, and the amount of yeast used is there to justify the epithet. Apparently it’s all ready to drink in a few days. Perhaps not for the connoisseur – no, certainly not for the connoisseur – this home brew project appeals because of its cheapness. At around 50p per litre I’ll give it a whirl.
I’ll divulge my variant on the recipe in a few days, after tasting. Who knows? It may be longer due to a stay in hospital to get my stomach pumped…
